Experienced Sewing Machinist

Are you based in or near Derby and looking to join a friendly, hands-on production team? This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established soft furnishings manufacturer known for producing high-quality bespoke curtains and soft furnishings for a wide range of commercial projects. We’re currently looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist / Curtain Maker to support the growing workload in our busy soft furnishings department. What You’ll Be Doing: * Measuring, cutting, and sewing a variety of fabrics for curtains and soft furnishings * Using industrial sewing machines with precision and consistency * Ensuring quality control at every stage of production * Working collaboratively with a small, skilled team What We’re Looking For: * At least 2 years of experience as a sewing machinist or curtain maker (essential) * Excellent attention to detail and a passion for high-quality workmanship * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as in a team What’s in It for You: * Competitive hourly rate: £12.21 (negotiable subject to experience) * Friendly, supportive team environment * Free on-site parking * Early Friday finish * Stable, long-term opportunity with room to grow Working Hours: * Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm * Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm Apply today and become part of a team that takes pride in craftsmanship and quality
