Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor specialising in infrastructure and water sector projects, is currently looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Act as a key commercial point of contact for specialist subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support on contractual and commercial matters throughout project delivery.
- Ensure contracts are administered in line with company procedures and commercial objectives.
- Assist in protecting the company’s commercial position through effective contract management and risk mitigation.
- Provide regular updates to senior commercial leadership regarding subcontractor performance and project commercial status.
- Support the pricing, assessment, and negotiation of project variations and compensation events across multiple work scopes.
- Monitor and manage project costs to ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports, valuations, and financial forecasts.
- Support procurement and subcontract package management activities, including tender reviews and contract administration.
- Carry out quantity measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Prepare projected final account reports, including tracking the status of variations and commercial changes in collaboration with project teams.
- Contribute to work-in-progress reporting and financial performance reviews.
- Assist in managing allocated commercial resources and ensuring value-driven project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies relating to health.
