An established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join their team in the Hertfordshire region.
Responsibilities for Sub Agent:
- Manage small-value civil engineering sites or assist the Site Agent and Project Manager on larger schemes
- Maintain commercial performance and be responsible for the successful delivery of projects
- Produce and manage the project programme and supervise delivery
- Understand and interpret drawings and specifications, providing engineering expertise to the project team
- Ensure all staff, subcontractors, and visitors are properly inducted and hold relevant qualifications
- Produce accurate monthly reports for the client and internally, and chair weekly site meetings
- Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times
- Ensure all HSEQ documentation is kept up to date and briefed as necessary
- Populate and manage the project cost plan, maximising value and maintaining commercial tension
- Ensure detailed site diaries and records are completed throughout
- Obtain all as-built information ensuring it is accurate and relevant
Essential Requirements for Sub Agent:
- Considerable experience in civil engineering
- Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CSCS card, SMSTS, NEBOSH or IOSH, and full driving licence
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
Desirable:
- Working towards CEng, IEng AMICE, or equivalent
- Water sector experience
- Temporary Works Coordinator
- Confined Space training and Service Avoidance training
- Appointed Person CPCS card
