Our client, a leading international engineering and infrastructure consultancy, is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join their growing Project Controls team within the Wales & West region, based in either Bristol or Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Cost Manager:
- Lead and deliver cost management services across major infrastructure and energy projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting.
- Support project teams with cost analysis, earned value management, and commercial reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls tools, systems, and processes.
- Assist with business growth, team development, and mentoring junior staff.
- Collaborate with wider project controls functions including planning and risk management teams.
- Support the preparation of client deliverables and strategic business initiatives.
Required Experience for Senior Cost Manager:
- Experience in cost management/project controls within infrastructure, energy, utilities, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Power BI, PRISM, Oracle, Deltek, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of NEC/FIDIC contracts and commercial management principles.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.
- Degree qualified in a construction, commercial, engineering, or finance-related discipline.
- Professional membership (RICS, AACE, ICE, or similar) desirable.
- Previous consultancy and major projects experience preferred.
