A leading engineering and design consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Director - Town Planning to join their team in London or Epsom. Responsibilities of Associate Director - Town Planning:
- Act as Planning Lead on projects across a range of markets and sectors
- Lead bid preparation, tender submissions, and framework responses
- Act as lead consultant on multi-disciplinary projects, taking responsibility for project management and delivery
- Lead coordination and delivery of EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management across multi-disciplinary teams
- Engage with market and client leads to support business growth and development opportunities
- Support commercial and resource management of projects, bids, and local teams
- Champion high standards of technical delivery, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes
- Mentor and support junior colleagues within the planning team
Essential Requirements for Associate Director - Town Planning:
- Relevant Planning degree with RTPI membership or working towards Chartered experience with a track record delivering major infrastructure projects
- Experience leading large-scale TCPA applications and holding lead roles within DCO, Hybrid Bill, Highways Act, or TWAO processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise
- Experience in Strategic Planning and Planning policy
- Strong commercial coordination and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Highly self-motivated with strong commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes
