We're supporting a fast-growing retail business with the search for a New Business Manager to join its Marketplaces team. This is a key commercial role focused on identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new sellers across priority categories. You'll play a central part in growing the marketplace offer, building strong seller pipelines, and ensuring a smooth onboarding journey from first contact through to handover.

The role

  • Identifying and recruiting new sellers across high-priority categories.
  • Developing and executing acquisition strategies to support growth targets.
  • Leading outreach, pitching, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis to spot opportunities.
  • Vetting sellers and supporting compliance checks.
  • Guiding sellers through sign-up, onboarding, and early-stage support.
  • Managing product onboarding and ensuring accurate, timely listings.
  • Building and tracking a strong pipeline of prospective sellers.
  • Producing reports and tracking KPIs to support performance and decision-making.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to support seller launches and ongoing success.
  • Representing the business at trade shows, webinars, and industry events.
  • Supporting and mentoring team members where required.

What we're looking for:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or partner acquisition within a marketplace, E-commerce, or digital platform environment.
  • Experience with seller and product compliance.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in retail and online selling.
  • Confident communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, written, and numerical ability.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and administrative skills.
  • Confidence using Excel.
  • Experience with Mirakl would be desirable.
  • A collaborative, professional, and proactive approach.
