As a Vendor Manager, you will serve as the essential bridge between the Commercial and Tech teams within the DDAT function for Staffordshire. You will play a crucial role in aligning procurement strategies with IT service goals, ensuring successful outcomes for the organization. Working closely with both procurement and IT services, you will provide expertise and support to facilitate smooth collaboration and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a bridge between IT and commercial teams, working within the DDAT function.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and IT services to ensure alignment and support across all projects.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct due diligence to assess and manage vendors and software assets, identifying risks and proposing improvements.
  • Challenge and review software contracts and asset management strategies.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to advise and guide both procurement and technical teams in decision-making processes.
  • Maintain market awareness of software and technology trends to keep contracts and strategies current and effective.
