The organisation that we are partnering with delivers both fresh and frozen foods to stores across the UK, with a large number of manufacturing sites and distribution centres.

You will lead the design and optimisation of the logistics network overseeing planning across multiple depots, ensuring exceptional service to customers while maximising efficiency, safety, and cost performance. You will lead a team responsible for routing, resource planning, and network optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for network routing plans and resource coordination.
  • Drive continuous improvement of transport network plans across multiple depots, optimising routing, trunking flows, and delivery schedules to reduce empty miles and improve network balance.
  • Oversee capacity across a fleet of vehicles, ensuring effective deployment of HGV and LCV assets.
  • Work closely with customer teams to incorporate delivery windows, site constraints, and service expectations into planning.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards covering vehicle utilisation, route efficiency, and network capacity.
  • Embed consistent planning standards, governance, and best practice across all depots.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience within fleet, transport, or a similar operational role.
  • Strong understanding of transport and warehousing best practices.
  • Qualified Transport Manager CPC holder.
  • Experience managing labour, budgets, and overall operational performance.
  • Clear capability and aspiration to progress into an Area Depot Manager role.
