Job Description:
- Role : User Researcher
- Day Rate: £370 per day Inside IR35
- Security Clearance: Active SC Cleared Required
- Location: 2 Days per week on site
- Contract : 6 months with a possible extension
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, collaborative User Researcher to join a fast paced delivery environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will drive evidence based decisions, advocate for the user, and make the complex look and sound simple
Key Responsibilities and Essential Experience
- Research Planning and Strategy: Define research roadmaps, set hypotheses with multidisciplinary teams, and align research activities with broader strategic objectives
- End-to-End Execution: Apply a range of qualitative and quantitative user research methods, define test scripts, and facilitate usability testing
- Research Operations: Oversee recruitment, incentives, software, and tooling setup as required.
- Analysis and Synthesis: Lead data analysis and synthesising, involving your team throughout the process to deliver clear, actionable findings
- Inclusive and Accessible Design: Ensure research considers the diversity of users to make services usable and accessible for everyone
- Embedding UR Culture: Demonstrate the value of user research to sceptical stakeholders and help immature teams embed user centred practices into their agile workflow.
- Remote Collaboration: Comfortably drive continuous research while working alongside distributed teams
Key Skills and Capabilities
- Agile and User-Centred Practice: Hands-on experience integrating continuous research within agile delivery teams. Clear understanding of user centric vs. user led approaches
- Communication and Engagement: Proven ability to present findings clearly, make complex concepts accessible, and advocate for doing the right thing
- Technical Context: Working knowledge of the technologies used to build digital services and an understanding of multidisciplinary team roles
- Strategic Alignment: Ability to connect user insights directly to the core problem the team is trying to solve
Desirable:
- Prior experience on projects relating to data-driven decision-making
