What you'll own

- Greenfield architecture decisions on a Partner API, API gateway layer and new lending product surfaces
- Day-to-day collaboration with an offshore team of five engineers who own features end-to-end; the right person will treat them as peers, not a delivery resource

What we're looking for
- Actively hands-on; you've been writing production code in the last six months
- Comfortable leading offshore or distributed engineers as collaborators, not just output owners
- Strong code review discipline and a high bar for quality
- Fluent in AI-augmented development workflows; Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or equivalent
- Solid grasp of cloud-native architecture, ideally on GCP
- Fintech, open banking or payments exposure helpful but not essential if the engineering depth is there
- UK-based, able to commit to three days per week in Central London
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary £100k - £125k DOE
- Equity
- Employee Growth Shares
- Health
- Private medical
- Pension
- Company contribution
The process
