About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join the team to accelerate a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) delivery programme. As the Technical Architect, you will be a strategic specialist, playing a key role in the development, assurance, and implementation of technical identity standards. You will be instrumental in driving long-term architectural improvements, overseeing service alignment to broader government strategy, and ensuring compliance with technical governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust IAM solutions utilising OAuth, OIDC, and related technical standards.
- Present architectural designs and strategies to technical governance forums for approval.
- Communicate and justify complex technical design decisions to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Assure the quality of third-party systems and services to ensure alignment with government strategy.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Active Security Clearance (SC) - must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years to meet eligibility criteria.
- Proven track record as a Technical Architect or Enterprise Architect.
- Deep experience in identity frameworks, technical governance, and modern authentication standards (including OAuth and OIDC).
- Strong service assurance capability with experience managing technical quality and driving strategic alignment across complex projects.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a demonstrable ability to brief, advise, and influence technical governance boards and senior executive leadership.
