We are working with a Central Government Department who are looking for a SharePoint SME / 3rd Line Technical Specialist to support and evolve the Department's SharePoint estate across both on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on technical role requiring expertise in SharePoint upgrades, administration, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3rd Line Support: Act as the 3rd line escalation point for complex SharePoint issues.
  • Upgrades & Migration: Lead the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2019 to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE).
  • M365 Management: Manage and support SharePoint Online within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Platform Operations: Maintain and ensure platform performance, security, and reliability across the SharePoint environment.

Person Specification & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SharePoint Server 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE).
  • Proven experience managing and supporting SharePoint Online (M365).
  • Demonstrated experience acting as a 3rd line technical escalation point for SharePoint infrastructure and applications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to the broader Microsoft 365 stack (OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online).
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Exposure to Microsoft Copilot / AI capabilities.

  • MS-102: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
