Description: New Business Manager | Marketplaces London Central (2 days in office) We're supporting a fast-growing retail business with the search for a New Business Manager to join its Marketplaces team.
This is a key commercial role focused on identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new sellers across priority categories.
You'll play a central part in growing the marketplace offer, building strong seller pipelines, and ensuring a smooth onboarding journey from first contact through to handover.
The role You'll be responsible for: Identifying and recruiting new sellers across high-priority categories.
Developing and executing acquisition strategies to support growth targets.
Leading outreach, pitching, negotiation, and contract closure.
Conducting market and competitor analysis to spot opportunities.
Vetting sellers and supporting compliance checks.
Guiding sellers through sign-up, onboarding, and early-stage support.
Managing product onboarding and ensuring accurate, timely listings.
Building and tracking a strong pipeline of prospective sellers.
Producing reports and tracking KPIs to support performance and decision-making.
Collaborating with internal teams to support seller launches and ongoing success.
Representing the business at trade shows, webinars, and industry events.
Supporting and mentoring team members where required.
What we're looking for: 3-5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or partner acquisition within a marketplace, e-commerce, or digital platform environment.
Experience with seller and product compliance.
Strong commercial awareness and an interest in retail and online selling.
Confident communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical, written, and numerical ability.
Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and administrative skills.
Confidence using Excel.
Experience with Mirakl would be desirable.
