Our central Government client is looking for an experienced DBA to support Oracle and SQL Server databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
- Support HA/DR (e.g. AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC)
- Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment
Key Skills:
- Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
- Backup/restore and HA/DR knowledge
- ITIL / managed service experience preferred
This is an initial 3 month contract with 3 days per week in the client's Manchester office, and the remaining 2 days being worked remotely if desired. £550.00 / day.
