Niche Configuration SME | Policing Transformation
Translate Policing Needs into Digital Reality.
We are looking for a high-caliber Niche Configuration Specialist to lead the technical build of a major Records Management System (RMS Niche) replacement. This isn’t just a "system admin" role; you will be the engine room of a 12-month delivery programme, shaping how UK law enforcement captures, manages, and utilises critical operational data. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and the technical Niche ecosystem, ensuring the platform is high-performing, compliant, and above all fit for the frontline.
The Mission
- Architect the Logic: Translate raw operational requirements into sophisticated Niche workflows, entities, and business rules.
- Build at Pace: Drive the configuration backlog to meet ambitious migration milestones and rehearsal cycles.
- Secure the Data: Design and implement robust Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) and validation logic to ensure data integrity and officer safety.
- Lead the Transition: From trial migrations and "dress rehearsals" to the high-stakes production cutover, you will ensure the solution is stable and supportable.
- Leave a Legacy: Execute a comprehensive knowledge transfer to internal teams, ensuring the system thrives long after the programme concludes.
Your Technical Arsenal
- The Niche Expert: You possess deep, hands-on experience configuring Niche RMS within a UK Policing or Criminal Justice environment.
- Logic and Workflow Specialist: You have a granular understanding of Niche data structures, forms, mandatory fields, and validation rules.
- Security Conscious: You are an expert in configuring security roles and permissions within regulated environments.
- Problem Solver: You thrive in the "troubleshooting" phase, resolving configuration defects and optimising system performance for high-volume use.
