We're looking for a self-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join a high impact BI team within a thriving Bristol-based SME. This isn't a number-crunching role. You'll be a key consultant and database expert - driving performance, advising on development projects, and delivering the insights that steer critical business decisions.

As part of a small, agile team, your work will be varied. In any given week, you might be:

  • Collaborating: Defining KPIs with senior managers and communicating data-driven concepts across departments
  • Developing: Building internal and external reports in Power BI and SQL to help colleagues understand performance and drive change
  • Analysing: Planning and executing ad-hoc analytical projects using SQL and Excel
  • Consulting: Providing technical advice as the resident database expert and contributing to SQL and report reviews

Required:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI
  • Advanced Excel and Power Query
  • Ability to write and optimise DAX
  • Solid understanding of database and data model design

Desirable:

  • Python or Apache Airflow
  • SSRS / Power BI Report Builder
  • Experience with automation tools

Who you are: A problem-solver with a curious mindset. Because we're an SME, we need someone comfortable wearing multiple hats whether that's discussing ETL pipelines or refining front-end report designs that demonstrate value to our partners.

Benefits and Culture:

  • We're a Living Wage Employer with a people-first culture.
  • Holiday: 22 days per year (excluding bank holidays)
  • Health: Level 3 Company Paid Health Care Plan
