We're looking for a self-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join a high impact BI team within a thriving Bristol-based SME. This isn't a number-crunching role. You'll be a key consultant and database expert - driving performance, advising on development projects, and delivering the insights that steer critical business decisions.
As part of a small, agile team, your work will be varied. In any given week, you might be:
- Collaborating: Defining KPIs with senior managers and communicating data-driven concepts across departments
- Developing: Building internal and external reports in Power BI and SQL to help colleagues understand performance and drive change
- Analysing: Planning and executing ad-hoc analytical projects using SQL and Excel
- Consulting: Providing technical advice as the resident database expert and contributing to SQL and report reviews
Required:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI
- Advanced Excel and Power Query
- Ability to write and optimise DAX
- Solid understanding of database and data model design
Desirable:
- Python or Apache Airflow
- SSRS / Power BI Report Builder
- Experience with automation tools
