The Product Manager for Health Platforms will own and develop multiple prioritised technology and technical backlogs based on user needs, value and effort; working with a range of specialists in multidisciplinary teams, applying agile methods and product mindset for delivery of digital services in a complex technical environment for progressive value realisation.
As a Product Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- Creating and maintaining product roadmaps
- Collaborating with the Lead Product manager to create and establish the product visions
- Prioritising backlogs based on value, effort, and alignment to strategic goals
- Communicating and rationalising priorities to a wide range of stakeholders
- Engaging with stakeholders and users to elicit requirements and needs
- Facilitation of agile events and collaboration across disciplines to ensure a well refined backlog.
As a Product Manager you will have the following experience:
- Experience applying product management principles and methods to technology products
- Previous experience working within government setting - Working towards GDS standards
- Able to communicate and explain complex technical product issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with the team, stakeholders, and users to create and prioritise/order technical/software product backlog items based on value, effort, and the overall strategy and business outcomes
- Experience creating and communicating product roadmaps, receiving and acting upon challenge from stakeholders
- Understanding of the tools, terms and principles used to deliver outcomes and how they can be adapted and applied to a variety of discoveries and test and learn work
- Able to ensure the team delivers outcomes and value aligned to strategic goals which may include undertaking delivery/analysis activities when needed
- Experience defining/refining visions based on a broad range of factors and considerations
- Able to confidently communicate and justify prioritisation decisions to a broad range of stakeholders and users
- Able to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and influence stakeholders across departmental and functional boundaries to secure support for priorities and gain vision buy-in
- Able to work in a fast paced, evolving environment and utilise an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery
