About the role
Regional HR Advisor to provide high-quality, first-line HR support across a multi-site operation.
This is a hands-on role supporting managers with day-to-day employee relations, HR processes and people-related activity.
You will help ensure a consistent, fair and practical approach to HR across the region, while identifying issues early and supporting managers to resolve them effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR and employee relations support to managers, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Coach and guide managers on HR processes, appropriate options and next steps.
- Support formal employee relations meetings, ensuring accurate records and appropriate follow-up.
- Apply HR policies, processes and standards consistently across multiple sites.
- Promote consistent approaches to people management and support fair, timely and well-documented outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and ways of working, sharing best practice across the wider HR team.
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, actions and outcomes.
- Monitor recurring HR issues and identify emerging themes, risks or areas requiring attention.
- Produce regular HR insights and updates covering areas such as employee relations, absence and attrition.
- Conduct HR health checks and follow up agreed actions to ensure progress and accountability.
- Coordinate core HR training, including HR basics, policy awareness and people-process training.
- Support managers to build confidence and capability in dealing with people matters.
- Support employee engagement activities, employee forums and people communications.
- Participate in recruitment interviews for key and leadership appointments where required.
- Keep up to date with UK employment legislation and HR best practice to ensure advice remains current and compliant.
- Act as a reliable and responsive point of contact for managers on operational HR matters.
About you
You will have
- Strong working knowledge of
UK employment law and HR best practice .
- Experience supporting employee relations activity within an operational environment.
- Confidence coaching managers on HR processes and effective people management.
- Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and improving ways of working.
- The ability to work consistently within established HR policies, processes and frameworks.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Flexibility and willingness to work across multiple sites.
- Ideally,
CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience .
- A valid UK driving licence .
