Our client is an award-winning integrated independent marketing agency that operates at the intersection of culture, talent and partnerships. Working with leading brands across Sports, Food & Beverage, Luxury, Lifestyle, Activewear and Leisurewear, we are looking for a commercially-minded PR Account Manager who will own senior client relationships and be responsible for delivering culturally-relevant and sharp marketing campaigns. This is an opportunity to work with all multi-disciplinary teams within the agency to provide strategic brand input, activate relevant and engaging partnerships, drive operational excellence and position the agency as the strategic partner of choice.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for your clients, understanding their business and sector to be able to shape relevant campaigns and comms strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Journalists, Editors, Influencers and key industry stakeholders to provide added value and campaign success for your clients.
- Lead media outreach, including pitching and engagement, to secure high quality coverage and opportunities for clients.
- Work with the leadership team to unlock areas of account growth, upselling and cross-selling services to positively position your client’s business.
- Be the voice of your clients within the agency, providing strategic guidance and leading the planning, delivery and optimisation of multi-channel PR campaigns (including press office, influencer programs, social media and events).
- Operate as a Project Manager ensuring campaigns meet objectives, deadlines and budgets, thinking ahead at all times and mitigating risk.
- Oversee account budgets, track spends and approve supplier, talent and vendor contracts in line with requirements.
- Creatively input into campaigns, using your experience and knowledge of what works to think of new media angles to enhance client campaigns.
- Line manage and mentor junior members of the team, as well as influence at a senior leadership level.
We’re looking for:
- Experience at Account Manager level within an agency (PR, Integrated, Advertising or Creative) leading client accounts from pitching (new or existing business), to managing multiple campaigns from concept to delivery.
- PR experience with strong relationships across national and regional press, spanning weeklies and glossies, for a portfolio of brands.
- An understanding of earned media, PR, influencers, social and content.
- A curious collaborator, eager to drive your clients business forwards and produce outstanding work.
- Confidence presenting in different environments, great storytelling capabilities with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Keen attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills, an organised individual with great project management experience.
- Experience using PR and media monitoring tools, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
