Our client is a trade body that works with a network of ambitious independent agencies. They're looking for someone on a full-time or fractional basis, to play a key part in the organisation's future-ready plans. This is a senior, influential role with direct impact on the growth, profitability and competitiveness of member agencies and the wider independent agency community. You'll act as a trusted adviser to agency CEOs and founders, translating insights into practical programmes that are people-first and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the people strategy, identifying the skills and capabilities that drive agency growth and profitability.
  • Develop high-impact training and development programmes that cover leadership, new business, client growth, productivity, effective management, high performing leadership and future-facing skills.
  • Support agency personnel with key people challenges, from building high-performing leadership teams and high-performance cultures to talent development and succession planning.
  • Build and support a best-in-class network of trainers, coaches, consultants and business leaders, and develop events and forums that deliver actionable insight and peer learning.
  • Help position the trade body as a leading authority on the future of the industry and independent agencies through research, benchmarking, case studies and practical tools.

We're looking for:

  • Someone commercially minded who understands agency pressure points and organisational performance, with a background in people and culture.
  • Experience from an agency, consultancy, professional services, training or senior people/HR background – commercial impact and credibility matter more than sector.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels from junior to C-suite, including founders and leadership teams, to translate people and capability development into business outcomes.
  • A strategic thinker, great communicator and influencer who can work entrepreneurially, as well as within a wider team.
  • Curiosity about the future of work and the future of the industry, understanding the unique impact a trade body plays as part of the ecosystem.
