About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised Office Junior to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in administration within the roofing and construction industry. You'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring customers receive excellent service while helping our surveyors and roofing teams stay organised. This is a position with genuine career progression. Following a successful 12-month probationary period, there will be the opportunity for a salary review and the potential to progress onto a fully supported Business Degree Apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and respond to roofing enquiries via telephone and email.
- Book surveyor appointments with customers.
- Manage and organise the company inbox.
- Complete daily labour sheets by contacting roofing teams to confirm:
- Hours worked
- Start and finish times
- Days worked
- Job information
- Carry out courtesy calls to customers following quotations to answer questions and follow up on outstanding quotes.
- Update customer records and job information within the CRM system.
- Assist with general office administration and filing.
- Liaise with surveyors, roofers and customers to ensure smooth communication.
- Support the wider team with ad hoc administrative duties.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Excellent communication and telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Friendly, professional and confident dealing with customers.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Experience using Pipedrive CRM is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Previous administration or customer service experience is advantageous.
