Main Responsibilities:
  • Inputting daily transactions to Sage cloud50.
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments.
  • Bank & Statement Reconciliation.
  • Vehicle records and maintaining fixed asset register alongside Hire Purchase registers.
  • Offer support to the Finance department with analysis and reconciliation as required.
  • Assist with required documentation as requested for VAT returns and year-end accounts.
  • Manage contact details and ensure records are correct and up to date for customers and suppliers.
  • Credit control including making phone calls to customers as required.
  • General office duties including emails, answering phone and filing etc.
  • Immediate start available.
  • Reporting to Director on management reporting.
  • Maintaining the Sage records sufficient to deal with external accountants on a frequent basis.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of Sage or other computerised accounts package.
  • Previous experience in a busy customer-based environment.
  • Will be IT literate including a good level of ability to use Excel and Word.
  • Have customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and anticipates needs.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of discretion, tact and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Be organised and methodical.
  • Must drive due to remote location of site.
