We’re looking for a strategic and hands‑on Operations/Resources Director with a background in marketing agencies or creative studios to join a leading agency for a 12‑month maternity cover. You will ensure the smooth running of the business during a period of growth, driving operational excellence while maintaining a people‑first culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the agency’s operational strategy in line with business goals.
  • Oversee financial processes, forecasting and reporting with the finance and accounts teams.
  • Identify efficiencies across resourcing, systems and workflows.
  • Support profitability and commercial insight across client accounts.
  • Manage the Operations Co‑ordinator and HR processes (contracts, onboarding).
  • Champion company culture, wellbeing, DEI and sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee internal systems, workflow and financial operations with creative teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations, resource or commercial leadership within a creative or marketing agency.
  • Strong financial and strategic planning skills; commercial acumen.
  • Experience of using tech tools for financial and planning systems.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of AI, ideally with relevant qualification.
  • Excellent people‑management and communication skills.
