We’re looking for a strategic and hands‑on Operations/Resources Director with a marketing agency or creative studio background to join a leading creative agency for a 12‑month maternity cover. You will be ensuring the smooth running of the business during an exciting phase of growth. As the operational backbone of the agency you’ll ensure the efficiency and performance across teams, systems and finances. Partnering with the senior leadership team, and reporting to the CEO, you’ll shape and deliver the agency’s growth strategy while maintaining a positive and people‑first culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the agency’s operational strategy in line with business goals.
- Oversee financial processes using and forecasting with the FD and accounts team.
- Identify efficiencies across resourcing, systems and workflows.
- Support profitability and commercial insight across client accounts.
- Manage the operations co‑ordinator and HR processes (contracts, onboarding).
- Champion company culture, wellbeing, DEI and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee internal systems, workflow and financial operations with creative teams.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in operations, resource or commercial leadership within a creative or marketing agency.
- Strong financial and strategic planning skills – commercially astute.
- Experience of using tech tools for financial and planning systems.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge in AI and ideally qualification.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
