Warrington | Energy Infrastructure | Up to £75,000 + £5,532 car allowance
Talent Hive is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major UK infrastructure business, joining the energy division in Warrington.
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role sits within the Energy division and will take commercial responsibility for the delivery of complex energy, utilities and civil engineering projects.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will ideally have experience across civils, utilities, energy infrastructure, gas pipelines or heavy civil engineering, alongside strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
Based from Warrington, you'll join an established commercial team delivering critical UK energy infrastructure projects.
The role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Lead the commercial and contractual management of energy and infrastructure projects
- Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, margins and cash flow
- Prepare and manage client valuations, variations and change
- Manage NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
- Procure and commercially manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts
- Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
- Produce accurate CVRs and commercial reporting
- Work closely with operational teams delivering civil engineering, utilities and energy infrastructure
- Build strong commercial relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where required
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
- Around 5+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong experience within civil engineering, civils, utilities, infrastructure or energy
- Ideally experience within gas pipelines, energy infrastructure or heavy civils
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4
- Experience managing cost control, CVRs, forecasting, valuations and change
- Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management experience
- Good contractual, financial and negotiation skills
- A Quantity Surveying or related qualification
- Professional membership such as RICS desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
