Our client is seeking a highly motivated and professional Physical Performance Coach to join the backroom team at a leading Championship football club. This is a unique opportunity to work in elite sport, supporting first-team players with their physical preparation, performance, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality strength and conditioning coaching to first-team players
  • Design, monitor, and implement evidence-based physical performance programmes
  • Oversee gym-based sessions, recovery strategies, and return-to-play conditioning
  • Conduct fitness testing and ongoing monitoring to track player performance
  • Work collaboratively with medical, coaching, and sports science staff to optimise player availability
  • Analyse performance data to provide actionable feedback and adjust training loads
  • Travel with the team to fixtures as required, providing matchday support

Qualities & Skills Required

  • Strong background in strength and conditioning within elite sport (football desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver performance programmes at the highest level
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multi-disciplinary teams
  • High attention to detail with strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as part of the team schedule
