The Role
As Warehouse & Dispatch Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operation, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time. You'll lead a small team, coordinate stock movements, manage dispatch documentation and work closely with production, transport and planning teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising daily warehouse and dispatch activities
- Leading and supporting warehouse operatives
- Managing goods-in and goods-out processes
- Monitoring stock accuracy and inventory control
- Ensuring all orders are dispatched accurately and on time
- Completing dispatch paperwork and system transactions
- Investigating stock discrepancies and operational issues
- Monitoring team performance and productivity
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and food safety compliance
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident leading a team whilst remaining hands-on within the operation. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a warehouse, dispatch or logistics environment
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing stock and inventory processes
- Good IT skills including Excel and warehouse/logistics systems
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced distribution environment would be highly advantageous.
