Talent Guardian is recruiting an experienced Sales Account Manager to join a fast-paced, office-based sales team in Poole.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys speaking with customers, identifying growth opportunities and delivering an outstanding service.

The role

You will manage and develop a portfolio of customer accounts, combining proactive outbound sales activity with responsive account support.

Working closely with Business Development Managers and internal departments, you will identify opportunities, prepare quotations and ensure every customer interaction is accurately recorded.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Making proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Managing customer enquiries and responding within agreed timescales.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase account growth and profitability.
  • Selling additional products and introducing customers to new ranges.
  • Scheduling appointments and account reviews for Business Development Managers.
  • Preparing and following up quotations, ensuring pricing, stock and delivery information is accurate.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate customer records within the CRM system.
  • Analysing customer data to identify sales opportunities and provide meaningful account insights.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of each customer, including key contacts and business requirements.
  • Building positive, long-term relationships through proactive and memorable service.
  • Managing complaints professionally and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant products, market developments and industry trends.
