Talent Guardian are working with a well‐established business based in Poole who are looking to appoint an experienced Funeral Director to join their dedicated team. This is a highly rewarding and important role, supporting families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. You will play a key part in ensuring funeral services are delivered with professionalism, compassion and attention to detail.

The Role:

  • Meeting with bereaved families to arrange funeral services in line with their wishes
  • Providing guidance on all aspects of funeral planning, including legal and administrative requirements
  • Coordinating all logistics for funerals, burials and cremations
  • Liaising with clergy, celebrants, cemeteries and crematoria
  • Overseeing the preparation and presentation of the deceased with dignity and respect
  • Managing funeral day operations to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling all documentation efficiently

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Funeral Director
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A compassionate, professional and discreet approach
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple arrangements in a fast‐paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • 1 in 9 Saturdays (8:00am - 4:00pm, time off in lieu)
  • Phone duties: 1 weekday evening in 3 and 1 weekend in 25
