We are working with a well established food business that is expanding its presence across the foodservice channel, and they are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to lead the charge. This is a genuine new business role. You will be identifying, targeting and winning foodservice accounts, from wholesalers and distributors through to operators and end users. If you enjoy the hunt, building a pipeline from the ground up and turning cold prospects into long term customers, this one is for you.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and delivering a new business strategy across the foodservice channel
  • Prospecting and winning new accounts, managing the full sales cycle from first contact to close
  • Building relationships with distributors, wholesalers and operators
  • Working closely with the wider commercial team to bring products to market
  • Owning your numbers and reporting on pipeline, forecast and performance

What we are looking for:

  • A proven track record in foodservice sales, ideally new business focused
  • Strong knowledge of the foodservice landscape and how product moves through it
  • A confident self starter who can open doors and build rapport quickly
  • Commercially sharp, with the ability to negotiate and close
  • Full UK driving licence
