Talent Guardian is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed FMCG business to recruit a FMCG/ Commercial Projects Manager to play a key role in driving growth, operational transformation and commercial value creation across the UK. This role is based near Guilford.
This is a high-impact role within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape strategic initiatives across multiple business functions. Operating within a rapidly expanding category, our client is scaling through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, creating a unique opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong professional to contribute to the next phase of development.
Reporting into the UK Operations leadership team, you will lead and deliver a range of strategic projects that support the organisation’s continued expansion and operational optimisation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end strategic projects across commercial, operational and supply chain functions
- Identifying opportunities to improve margin performance through pricing, product mix and operational efficiencies
- Supporting category strategy development to drive innovation and portfolio growth
- Contributing to expansion strategy across indirect and alternative sales channels
- Assessing manufacturing and logistics footprints to optimise cost and performance
- Supporting sourcing strategy development and supplier negotiations
- Driving initiatives to enhance customer experience across multiple brands
- Preparing insights, recommendations and presentations for executive leadership
- Facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions across UK business units
This role offers a clear pathway into broader commercial or operational leadership positions as the organisation continues to grow.
About You: We are seeking a highly driven and structured individual with strong analytical capability and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will ideally have:
- 3+ years’ experience within a top-tier strategy consulting environment
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects independently
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- German or French language skills would be highly advantageous
