We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join an Ofsted Outstanding school in North London. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role in ensuring effective financial control, administrative efficiency, and support for the school s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administrative functions and maintain systems to ensure effective financial control within the school.
  • Oversee financial systems, accounts, administrative, and secretarial functions.
  • Maintain and update databases for pupils and staff, assisting in the management of school premises.
  • Maintain the financial and accountancy systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare termly expenditure accounts for presentation to senior leadership.
  • Produce and submit financial reports and returns as required by the Local Education Authority.
  • Manage accounting procedures, including audits, investment returns, cheque signatory duties, and petty cash control.
  • Liaise with the payroll provider to ensure accurate staff salary payments and process claims for travel and overtime.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget
  • Attend governing body meetings as needed to provide financial updates.
