Our client is a dynamic company with a diverse portfolio of 50+ international brands sourced from across the world, distributing across all major UK retail sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional seeking comprehensive FMCG exposure. You'll combine consumer and trade marketing responsibilities across a fascinating portfolio of international food brands. The role offers the perfect balance of strategic thinking and commercial implementation, ideal for someone naturally curious about global cuisines and consumer trends.

Working in close partnership with the Sales team, you'll develop and execute growth strategies across multiple channels - from major grocery retailers to independents. This includes targeting new listings, building compelling distribution stories, implementing shopper marketing campaigns, and driving consumer awareness through creative agency partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop annual brand plans to deliver budget targets across diverse portfolio.
  • Own relationships with overseas brand owners, providing periodic reporting.
  • Lead marketing mix execution across trade and consumer channels.
  • Manage marketing budgets, tracking spend and supplier recharges.
  • Build category and consumer insight using Kantar, NIQ, and Mintel data.
  • Identify commercial opportunities through data analysis and market understanding.
  • Create impactful brand presentations and customer sell decks.
  • Model promotional plans to optimise brand performance.
  • Collaborate with NPD Manager to identify new product opportunities.
  • Support innovation pipeline from concept through commercialisation.
  • Input into product development projects and launch strategies.
  • Manage creative and packaging design agency relationships.
  • Brief insight agencies and oversee research projects.
  • Build relationships across sales, purchasing, finance, technical, and logistics teams.
  • Support internal communications and competitor reporting.
Essential Requirements
  • Professional marketing qualification.
  • Strong commercial understanding with previous P&L management experience.
  • Proven experience using category insight tools (Kantar, NIQ) to unlock commercial gains.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling brand presentations.
  • Understanding of grocery customers, discounters, wholesalers, and independents.
  • Experience managing complex and varied product portfolios.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
