Our client is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Van Sales Merchandiser to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an assigned territory, building strong relationships with retailers while delivering, selling and merchandising a range of promotional products.
The business specialises in non-food promotional products for forecourts and convenience stores, offering regularly changing product ranges designed to maximise sales and profitability for retailers.

The Role As a Van Sales Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for visiting forecourts and convenience stores within your assigned territory, promoting products, managing stock and ensuring displays are presented to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Visiting forecourts and convenience stores to sell, deliver and merchandise promotional products.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and store managers.
  • Presenting current and upcoming promotions to customers.
  • Ensuring effective product placement across pump-top and in-store displays.
  • Managing stock levels within your van and at customer locations.
  • Planning and organising daily routes to maximise efficiency.
  • Recording customer orders, sales and stock movements accurately.
  • Monitoring promotional performance and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
  • Gathering feedback from retailers and customers to support continuous improvement.
  • Representing the business professionally and delivering excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong sales, negotiation and customer relationship skills, ideally with experience in field or route sales.
  • Previous merchandising experience, including creating attractive product displays and maintaining promotional materials.
  • A full, valid driving licence and confidence operating a van for daily deliveries and customer visits.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan routes and manage stock effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of retail customers.
  • Good numeracy and basic IT skills for processing orders, maintaining stock records and completing reports.
  • A self-motivated, reliable and proactive approach to work.
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own territory.
  • Previous experience within FMCG, convenience retail or forecourt environments would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the assigned region and adapt to changing promotional campaigns.

Why Apply? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business operating within the convenience retail sector.
You'll enjoy a varied, field-based role where you can manage your own daily schedule, develop strong customer relationships and contribute directly to sales growth.

If you're an organised, commercially minded individual who enjoys being on the road and working with retailers, we'd love to hear from you.
