An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance / Service Engineer to cover a Cambridge-based portfolio with occasional travel to London as required. This role suits an engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working across multiple site types. You will be responsible for maintaining compliant, safe fire and life safety systems across commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems across London
- Fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive call-outs
- Emergency lighting and smoke ventilation maintenance (where applicable)
- Accurate completion of service reports and job records
- Building strong relationships with clients and site contacts
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience in fire systems maintenance/service
- Strong fire alarm knowledge (essential)
- Emergency lighting and smoke ventilation experience is advantageous
- Good understanding of relevant British Standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable and self-motivated
