We are excited to be partnering with one of the UK's most successful construction firms. You will be working for an inspirational Head of HR and a great team across the country with multiple sites. You can be at the beginning of your HR journey and this is a great role.
The Role
Providing first line support to all facilities Managers and Employees on all employee relations and life cycle queries. Ensuring the company processes and policies are adhered to whilst navigating the commercial needs of the business. Always putting employee and client satisfaction to the forefront of everything we do and assisting the HRBPs to provide a partnership to the Directors and Senior Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working within a team of 5 in HR, Head of HR & 4 x HRBPs
- Ensure appropriate HR governance is in place in relation to all employment issues, always ensuring compliance with company policy and statutory legislation.
- Coordinate employee communication both verbal and written supporting the HR Admin and Payroll departments.
- Assist with running sector/operational reports in preparation for operation meetings and HR meetings.
- Support HR Admin with new starter, onboarding and exit process, coordinate with operations to ensure a smooth process.
- Action and respond to queries in conjunction with HR department timescales.
- Support line managers with general advice, ensuring all advice complies with legislation and is in line with company policies and processes.
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems as part of the wider HR team.
- Work with HR Business Partners on operational requirements.
- Support with periodic/adhoc projects in line with external/internal changes, ensuring a proactive approach is always considered.
- Work alongside the HR Admin and Payroll team to ensure processing of changes is in line with payroll cut off.
- Produce monthly reports on HR activity for HRBPs to present to Divisional Directors.
- Provide guidance to line managers on how to manage potential ER issues at the informal stage prior to any formal action and necessary follow-on actions (Disciplinaries, Grievances, Absence Management, Capability etc).
- Provide practical advice and guidance to line managers on how to manage formal ER issues in line with the Company policy up to first and final written warning on low-risk ER cases, with any dismissals being approved by HRBP/Head of HR before providing advice to Managers.

- Experience of TUPE process.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
- A proactive and positive approach.
- Solid Employment knowledge.
- Experience of first line support for employment law matters.
- Able to travel when required.
- CIPD qualification (ideally but not essential).
