My client are a dynamic and growing SME business, they design and manufacture leading products in their sector and have a very impressive client base already.

Introduction: We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Operations Manager with a robust background in finance and administration to oversee our business operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in linking finance, sales, production, customer success and suppliers, and will handle multiple international projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Liaising with other department heads to achieve successful project outcomes. Utilising PM tools and Gantt charts to plan and track progress on up to 6-7 projects at a time, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Strategic Coordination: Acting as a key liaison among various business units including finance, sales, and production teams, as well as external suppliers, international partners and customers.
  • Team Leadership: The successful candidate will be a natural leader that will work closely with the Managing Director to take the business to the next level whilst lead, hiring and developing a diverse ops team – promoting a culture of humility, enthusiasm and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Setup: Overseeing the establishment of new offices, both domestically and internationally, ensuring they meet business needs and compliance standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Developing, implementing and continuously monitoring KPI's and other key business metrics across all areas of business operations to drive strategic decisions and improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in operational activities and develop mitigation strategies to maintain continuity and efficiency.
  • Compliance, Standards & HR: Ensuring that all operations comply with legal standards, ISO requirements, and safety regs whilst managing the HR side of the business

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, ideally in a setting that requires financial and administrative acumen over technical knowledge.
  • Strong project management skills, including expertise in using Gantt charts and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, HR and leadership and these departments drive business operations.
  • Ability to remain humble and enthusiastic while driving high performance.
