As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group Finance Manager to join the small team in Ullenhall. This is a hands‑on role that offers exposure to multiple businesses, funding structures and development projects, working closely with the Directors and external accountants.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the group, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting and effective support for business decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finances across multiple group companies, maintaining accurate accounting records within Sage.
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, tenant and intercompany invoicing, payment processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, whilst maintaining accounting journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and control accounts.
- Monitor multiple company bank accounts and support day-to-day cash management.
Payroll, HMRC & Compliance
- Manage payroll, pension administration, PAYE, HMRC submissions, VAT returns and CIS reporting where applicable.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across the group.
Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
- Produce cashflow forecasts, budget monitoring and financial analysis for Directors.
- Provide financial reporting and commercial support to Project Managers, Site Managers and senior stakeholders.
Group Accounting
- Manage intercompany transactions, loan balances, recharges and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Support financial reporting across UK and overseas group companies.
Funding & Development Finance
- Support development finance facilities, lender reporting and drawdown processes.
- Assist with refinancing, funding applications and investment reporting as required.
- Monitor funding schedules, loan facilities and lender requirements across the group.
Year-End & External Relationships
- Draft year-end accounts to P&L and balance sheet level for review by external accountants.
- Liaise with HMRC, lenders, banks, solicitors and professional advisers.
- Assist with ad‑hoc finance and business projects across the wider group.
Skills & Experience
- CIMA Professional Level 2.
- Previous experience within a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll experience.
- Experience working within a multi-company or group structure.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience producing cashflow forecasts and management accounts.
- Strong understanding of payroll, VAT, HMRC and statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within property development, construction, lending, investment or real estate sectors.
- Knowledge of CIS and construction accounting.
- Development finance, lender reporting and drawdown experience.
- Experience working across multiple UK and overseas entities.
- Experience supporting business owners and senior stakeholders with commercial decision‑making.

- Salary of £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
