We are supporting a major multinational group on an international legal entity integration and restructuring programme involving operating entities and legal structures across multiple jurisdictions, mainly in Europe. This is not a standard tax compliance or reporting role. The focus of the work is practical multinational restructuring and integration delivery across operating entities and legal structures in multiple jurisdictions. The environment is fast‑paced and delivery‑focused, with multiple restructuring workstreams running in parallel. The client is looking for a hands‑on international tax professional who can operate within complex multinational restructuring environments and help drive practical implementation activity, rather than someone who only provides high‑level advisory input or broad strategic oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Support international legal entity integration and restructuring activity across multiple jurisdictions
- Support operating entity integration and restructuring implementation activity
- Help design restructuring steps with input from external tax advisers
- Hold the pen on transaction step plans and related implementation documentation
- Identify tax implications, costs, risks and implementation blockers in proposed restructuring steps
- Coordinate with Tax, Legal, Finance, Treasury, PMO and external advisers across jurisdictions
- Support implementation sequencing, dependencies and delivery milestones across jurisdictions
- Ensure post‑implementation actions are completed, including opinions, memos, rulings, elections, filings and supporting documentation
- Keep senior tax stakeholders updated on issues, risks and proposed solutions
- Operate effectively within a fast‑paced multinational project environment
Key experience sought
- Strong international/corporate tax background
- Experience working on multinational restructuring, integration, M&A, carve‑out, divestment or legal entity projects
- Exposure to post‑acquisition integration and operating entity integration activity
- Experience in preparing or managing restructuring step plans
- Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions with local advisers
- Able to identify practical tax issues, implementation blockers and restructuring dependencies
- Strong coordination skills across Legal, Finance, Treasury, Tax and external advisers
- Hands‑on, organised and delivery‑focused
- Able to work independently without heavy day‑to‑day management
This role will not suit candidates whose background is primarily BAU tax compliance, tax reporting, governance or broad Head of Tax oversight. It is likely to suit someone who has worked inside multinational restructuring or integration projects and is comfortable translating agreed commercial or structural objectives into practical country‑by‑country implementation steps.
