A major secure programme urgently requires multiple DV-cleared VMware infrastructure engineers. This work is hands-on, fast-paced and central to the stability and delivery of sensitive platforms. You'll be joining a delivery-focused environment where technical depth, reliability and pace matter. This assignment suits someone who thrives in complex, matrix delivery settings, takes ownership of their work and can operate effectively when priorities shift or detail evolves. The programme is scaling, the work is ongoing, and the client will move quickly for the right DV-cleared talent.

What you’ll do:

  • Engineer, maintain and enhance VMware infrastructure within high-assurance secure environments.
  • Support and troubleshoot vSphere, ESXi, NSX and vSAN platforms.
  • Resolve complex technical issues under tight security and operational constraints.
  • Contribute to stabilisation and uplift across critical infrastructure services.
  • Operate hybrid: three days per week on-site in Farnborough, with occasional Bristol travel.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active DV clearance (essential; without this you cannot be considered).
  • Proven VMware engineering experience across vSphere, ESXi, NSX and/or vSAN.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability in secure or highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to work on-site weekly and deliver at pace within a complex delivery landscape.
  • A proactive, accountable approach — someone who owns outcomes and delivers reliably.

Rate and engagement: £700-£800/day outside IR35. The client is open to making this work for the right DV-cleared engineer.
