Job Description Fire Alarm Technician \n Location: West Midlands Full Time: Yes Working hours: 8:00 am–4:00 pm (flexible) Salary: £35,000–£38,000 per annum + KPI bonus \n Our client is an established fire protection and electrical solutions provider, founded in 2015 with a commitment to helping businesses remain compliant and keeping people safe. \n As FCS continues to expand across the West Midlands, we are looking to recruit experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to join our growing team. \n This expansion creates excellent career progression and development opportunities as the business continues to grow, offering long-term prospects for the right candidates. \n The Role \n We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to carry out the maintenance, installation, and repair of fire safety systems across the West Midlands and the surrounding areas. This is a field-based role requiring a professional, customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. \n Key responsibilities: \n \n Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems, AOVs, and emergency lighting \n Complete remedial works following inspections and servicing \n Undertake installation works as required \n Attend reactive call-outs, including participation in the out-of-hours call-out rota \n Complete electronic job reports and paperwork daily \n Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of workmanship \n \n Requirements \n Essential \n \n Proven experience working within the fire industry \n Level 3 qualification for BS 5839 Part 1:2025 \n Good working knowledge of BS 5839 and BS 5266 \n Based in London or the surrounding areas \n Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude \n Full UK driving licence \n \n Desirable \n \n Electrical qualifications \n \n What's In It For You \n \n KPI bonus scheme \n Company pension \n Private medical insurance \n Company van and fuel card \n 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown \n Ongoing training and development opportunities \n Flexible working hours (typically 8:00 am–4:00 pm) \n Call-out rota currently operates on a 1 week in every 3 basis, with the frequency expected to reduce as the team continues to grow \n \n What's next?
