Our client is a leading specialist paint company dedicated solely to the development, manufacture and sale of specialist liquids and coatings. Due to continued success, they currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Paint Maker/ Factory Operative to join the Burnham-on-Crouch factory. The successful candidate will earn a starting salary of £26,000, which will increase after a 6-month probation period.
Full technical training will be provided to the successful candidate. This is a specialised skill with long-term potential for further career development.
Training will be provided, however:
- Previous paint-making experience is desirable
- High Speed Dispersal experience is desirable
- Current forklift experience is desirable
- Colour matching experience or aptitude is advantageous
- Chemistry knowledge is advantageous
What will your role look like?
- Following instructions on selected batch cards
- Physically loading of raw materials
- Effectively managing the manufacture of the product from start to finish
- Carrying out Quality Control checks and any adjustments to the batch that may be necessary
- Making products in the correct order as indicated by the manufacturing schedule
- Maintain records of products manufactured and inventory of raw materials on hand
- Label containers to batch card specifications
- Work within a small team to fill the product effectively
- Compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, including the wearing of appropriate PPE, is a must
- Good housekeeping
