Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects for some of the UK's largest organisations, including the country's two largest REITs, the largest private healthcare company and the UK's largest stadium. The Role
You will assist in the design and development of building services systems, contributing to real-world engineering projects from concept through to delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design within a supportive, fast-paced and highly collaborative office environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of mechanical building services systems
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, specifications and reports
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering problem-solving
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and contractors to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of two years' industry experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment
- Understanding of engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes
