Our client is a growing, multidisciplinary design consultancy offering Civil & Structural Engineering and Landscape Architecture. The business was founded by engineers with extensive experience in leading firms across the industry. Established with a clear focus on collaboration, long-term growth and technical excellence, the business delivers the same quality and rigour as larger consultancies, but through a more personable and client-focused model.

With a strong reputation built on clear communication and consistently delivering on commitments, the consultancy has developed a loyal and diverse client base and a profitable, well-established structural engineering team. Backed by an engaged board and a healthy pipeline of work, they are now seeking a commercially astute Structural Director to lead and grow the structural discipline.

They are seeking a commercially driven, charismatic Structural Director to win new work, expand client relationships, and lead a high-performing engineering team. This is a senior leadership opportunity offering genuine autonomy to shape the team, expand client relationships and play a meaningful role in the wider strategic direction of the business.

Are you the right person for the job?

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) via IStructE or ICE
  • Director-level experience within structural engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy, ideally London-based
  • Proven work-winning capability, with a minimum of £500k fees won per year
  • Experience leading delivery teams, including senior engineers and drawings staff
  • Credible understanding of client needs and project oversight (not hands-on calculations)
  • Sector experience: London commercial/residential (essential)
  • Data centres (desirable)
  • Defence/energy (helpful but not mandatory)
