This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with circa 3 years PQE to join a well-established RTA team, handling a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated claims. About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Solicitor with circa 3 years PQE
- Solid experience handling RTA claims (pre-litigation and/or litigated)
- Good understanding of the MOJ Portal (Stages 1-3)
- Experience assessing liability and valuing quantum
- Confidence negotiating settlements with insurers
- Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
Key responsibilities
You will manage a caseload of RTA matters with appropriate supervision, including:
- Handling pre-litigated and litigated RTA claims from inception to settlement or trial
- Managing cases through the MOJ Portal (Stages 1-3)
- Investigating liability and reviewing evidence (medical reports, witness statements, etc.)
- Valuing claims and advising clients on quantum
- Drafting pleadings, schedules of loss, and other legal documentation
- Issuing proceedings and progressing claims through litigation where necessary
- Negotiating settlements with insurers and third parties
- Instructing and liaising with counsel, medical experts, and other professionals
- Ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules and internal KPIs
- Delivering excellent client care throughout the lifecycle of the claim

While the role is primarily based in Glasgow with remote working available, there may be occasional visits to the Preston head office for training, team collaboration, or business needs. These are infrequent and planned in advance.
