As the practice continues to grow, they are now seeking an experienced and driven Client Manager to join their team and play a key role in its ongoing success.

The Role

As Client Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact throughout the accounting process. You will oversee the delivery of accurate and timely compliance and advisory work, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a senior role within a progressive and expanding practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across multiple sectors
  • Act as the primary point of contact, building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Prepare and review financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Review corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Review VAT returns for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage payroll and pension submissions where required
  • Support partners with ad hoc client work and bespoke projects
  • Mentor, supervise, and develop junior team members
  • Ensure all work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

  • ACCA / ACA qualified, or finalist with equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio
  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts, tax, VAT, and management accounts
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
  • Proficient in Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and client-driven approach
