Are you the right person for the job?
Ideally, you will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience working within a Residential Conveyancing department
- Experience handling both sales and purchases from instruction to post-completion
- A good understanding of the full conveyancing process
- Familiarity with the Land Registry portal, HMRC portal, LMS, or Lender Exchange (desirable)
- Experience using a case management system (LEAP preferred)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Accurate audio typing skills
- Experience with diary management and liaising with clients
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
What will your role look like?
Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening, updating, and closing matter files, accurately recording client data using LEAP
- Taking initial client enquiries and passing relevant information to fee earners
- Carrying out ID and AML checks when opening new files
- Preparing contract packs and carrying out property searches
- Ordering redemption statements and assisting with completions
- Preparing bills and financial documentation
- Managing post-completion work, including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and deeds schedules
- Acting as a point of contact for internal and external callers, relaying messages promptly
- Updating clients and estate agents throughout the conveyancing process
- Assisting with general office duties such as copying, scanning, and printing
