The Role
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 4 MOT Tester / Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced workshop environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring customer vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with legal and company requirements
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Complete maintenance and repair work to a high standard
- Operate diagnostics equipment confidently
- Assist with vehicle handling and heavy lifting where required
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and completed work
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Support colleagues with technical expertise when needed
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester and/or Vehicle Technician
- Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent experience
- Class 4 MOT Tester qualification
- MOT Licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicle systems
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good team player with strong communication skills
- Must be CRB/DBS approved
Desirable
- Minimum 3 years mechanical experience
