Our client is a busy, friendly, and well-regarded firm of accountants with a strong local reputation. They support a wide range of clients, primarily local small businesses and personal tax clients, and are looking to welcome an experienced Accounts Supervisor to our team of 14.
This is a flexible opportunity, suitable for someone looking for part-time hours (3-4 days per week), with the potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.
- 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), pro rata for part-time

Ideally, 5-6 years experience within a private accountancy practice.
Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software.
You will manage your own portfolio of clients with a high degree of autonomy, while reporting to one of our Accounts Managers.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT Transactions, Sage, and FreeAgent
- Managing quarterly submissions to HMRC under Making Tax Digital (MTD)
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns and submitting them to HMRC following client approval
- Finalising accounts for limited companies
- Filing company accounts with Companies House and HMRC
