The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established logistics and transport specialist dedicated to delivering reliable freight, warehousing, and vehicle maintenance solutions. They are seeking a reliable and motivated Night Operations / Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse team. This role combines hands-on warehouse duties with operational support and customer liaison, making it perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, night-time environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring night operations run smoothly, stock moves efficiently, and customers receive excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing night-time warehouse operations and supporting colleagues
- Loading, unloading, and moving stock safely and efficiently
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Liaising with customers via phone, email, and in person
- Completing basic administrative and operational tasks
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and organised working environment
- Assisting with problem-solving and operational improvements
- Occasional HGV shunting if qualified
Qualifications
- Forklift licence required
- CO trained with 5 years’ verifiable employment history
- Class 1 (C+E) licence for occasional HGV shunting, an advantage
- Experience in fast-paced logistics or warehouse environments, an advantage
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
- Previous warehouse and/or night operations experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
